Esquires Ambleside – Charity Event

Sunday the 21st of April, we will be taking the coffee cart down to Ambleside Rugby Ground to help raise money for Ambleside Lights Switch-on. Come down and be part of the fund raising, where you can browse the stalls of the carboot sale whilst enjoying a nice warm coffee from our cart.

Every year, Ambleside do their very best to put on a lights switch on event you won’t ever forget. They have everything from Santa and his reindeer, a lantern procession through the town centre, an ice skating rink, a fire show, all topped of with a grand finale of fireworks. The event brings in hundreds, if not thousands, from around the UK and this year, they aim to make it bigger and better than last year. We are proud to commit ourselves to such a dedicated team, and through out the year we will be doing our bit by serving coffee at their fund raising events.

Please check out the following facebook link for more details about how you can help out and be part of this wonderful event: https://www.facebook.com/events/425277990902405/?notif_t=plan_user_invited

Esquires Ambleside – A Little Thank You

We had an amazing week raising money for Macmillan Cancer Care. We had a Bring and Buy Sale as well as a Coffee Morning which turned out to be a great success. We also had some guys from head office turn up, who were on a bike ride around the Lakes to help raise awareness!

We raised £233.52 in total for the much needed cause. And it’s thanks to our Customers for donating their items and money. So THANK YOU!!!

Esquires Ambleside – Macmillan Coffee Morning

Every year, Esquires Coffee likes to give a little something back for all the dedication and hard work the Macmillan Nurses do.

To help them with their cause, Esquires Coffee Ambleside are taking part in the annual Macmillan’s “World’s Biggest Coffee Morning”. Not only are we doing a coffee and a pastry for a small price, we are also having a bring and buy sale, with all proceeds going towards Macmillan.

So help us to help them reach a target greater than last years target of a staggering £10,079,153. Remember, you can donate on the day or you can text CUPCAKE 582X to 70550 which will automatically donate £5 from you!

Esquires Ambleside – Sport On!

It’s been fun and games here at Esquires Coffee Ambleside. The past week has gone so quick; as a matter of fact, I think the month of June has just raced right to the finish line without letting us have a look in. But we did get up to some fun, which is why we enjoy our “Esquires Family” so much!!!

Our trainee manager, Lily Dann (she’s about 15 years of becoming manager but she’s still in training!) was fortunate enough to not only see the Olympic Torch but actually be the proud owner of it, if only for a few minutes. Perhaps she’ll be a part time athlete in the future as well as manager?

On Sunday the 24th of June, we had two little faces come into our store and presented us with a trophy. I’ve been telling people that we had won the Euro 2012 cup, but it was actually our Ambleside Under15s Junior Football Club, who has won this Summers Tournament. As we are the sponsors for these competitive chaps, we get to hold onto the trophy and keep it safe.

With any luck, the summer ahead of us is going to be blistering hot, and not this horrid damp, bleak weather that seems to be presenting itself every day. So make sure you make a stop in our store to enjoy one of our refreshing cool drinks that’ll help you relax after a spot of walking the fells of the Lake District!

Esquires Ambleside – Climbing High

We like to think of our regular customers as part of our family. But we never knew that three of our customers- Cara Grisedale, Patrick Neech and Nick Howard- would take a part of US on their final expedition of university!! Check out the picture and see us on top of Ben Nevis!!!

Unfortunatley, Cara and Patrick have completed uni and left Ambleside but we wish them all the best for the future. Fortunatley, Nick is still in town so we can keep his energy levels up with his daily Latte’s.

Esquires Ambleside – A Little Top for Charity!

Several months ago, a lady came asking us if we’d collect the milk bottle tops. She explained it was for a charity who was trying to collect enough to buy a wheelchair. And guess what! We managed to help raise enough for them to buy not just one, but TWO!

We wish them all the best for the future but it just goes to show that a little top goes a long way

Esquires Ambleside – Singlehanded Sailor

After making jokes about boats, and humming songs such as “What Do We Do With The Drunken Sailor”, the time has come to say goodbye to our resident clown James. This is his last weekend before he embarks on his mission to sail around the equator (that’s the easier way of putting it!). We’ve learnt a lot about our young James; learnt his tickelish spots and that he has a habit of never learning that the shelves are at his head height. So lets ensure he gets a decent send off!!!
